    it varies greatly but as a general ballpark i’d say that you can get a fairly competitive vee for 10k. then there’s the tires, fire suit, trailer, tow vehicle, etc all to consider. all in, it’s still probably one of the most inexpensive ways to go racing. and it’s the perfect time of the year to treat yourself to a racecar.

    i’ll be posting a new update shortly on my latest restoration but let me know if there is anything specific you’d like to know. “Getting Started in Formula Vee” is a great read available from there are many clubs that have schools that will help you prepare to safely go racing. if you live in the midwest, the VSCDA ( has a great program in the spring called “Spring Brake” that i recommend.

    Great looking car. I had been looking for one a few years back and ended up with a Beach 5c instead.
